The Nutmobile!
You may remember the Aussie icon from Nambour – where he used to amuse crowds at the Big Pineapple. The Nutmobile proved a popular attraction at the Big Pineapple, even drawing 'royal riders' such as Prince Charles and Princess Diana. He has since moved to Bauple and now resides outside Macadamia House...no better place really for a Nutmobile, than the original home of the macadamia!
He embarked on the epic move in July 2011. Moving the great icon proved quite the logistical challenge - we captured the journey on film so you can see just how challenging it was!
We recently launched a children's picture book starring 'Nosh the Nutmobile' and his furry crew of Aussie animals - 'All Aboard the Nutmobile' is the first in our Nutmobile series and is available for purchase in our online shop. Ashley Walmsley from Good Fruit & Vegetables (Rural Press) caught up with Nosh and the team at the recent launch and got the full scoop! Ashley is a fine scribe, so for more insight into the book and it's crazy creators, check out his article or chat to Nosh directly on his Facebook Page.
Another great read is Kerry Brown's 'Our Sweetest Icon', in which she captures the Nutmobile story beautifully. Kerry's book is definitely worth a read and is also available in our online shop.
