Over 200 students, parents and teachers piled into the Cleveland Library on Tuesday 30 July to celebrate the launch of  'The Harvest Race' – the 2nd book in the Macadamia House Nutmobile series and a mooooving follow-up to 'All Aboard the Nutmobile'.

The Macadamia House team, including owner Yolande Bromet and author Em Horsfield, entertained all with book readings, nut n spoon races, harvest videos and even live Skype chats with illustrator Glen Singleton and Q&As with Farmer B on the macadamia farm. Check out our pics of the day!

‘The Harvest Race’ stars Nosh the Nutmobile  - who now resides at Macadamia House but first famous for his rides around the Big Pineapple - and was inspired by a wayward herd of cows who thundered their way onto the family macadamia farm during harvest.

'I am a big fan of the gentle bovines but they can cause lots of damage on a macadamia farm, so I had to ask them to moooooo-ve out', said Em.

'All the adventures are inspired by real events that take place on our family farms.  While the story has become a fun adventure for Nosh with humorous rhymes and bold illustrations, it certainly wasn’t for us at the time!’ said Yolande.

The series is certainly starting to take off here in Australia with many book stores, libraries and schools already asking for 'Santa's Magic Beard' - the third book in the Aussie series due out in November.

The books are starting to appear on Dymocks' shelves and other independent book stores but can also be signed, sealed and delivered worldwide from our online shop! See pictures from the event and chat to Nosh the Nutmobile direct via his very own Facebook page.
