Award-winning Nuthouse!

We recently attended the Sprake Fraser Coast Business Awards 2012. Macadamia House had been nominated for a business award in the tourism category alongside the likes of whale watching ventures, Fraser Island 4x4 adventures and many other businesses situated all along the Fraser Coast. Businesses were nominated by the public - we have no idea who threw our name in the hat, but if you happen to be reading this - a big thank you, for if you hadn't have done so, we would never have WON! Safe to say - we went completely nuts when it was announced that we'd won the Business Award for Tourism! Two members of 'the House', dressed in their best, were there to receive the award and celebrate the evening.

We still have a long way to go - the Nutmobile is yet to get on the move and signage on the freeway still remains a problem, however it is rewarding to be recognised for our contribution to toursim, community and regional growth. The team shall continue to work hard to promote the region - the home of the original macadamia nut is, after all, something worth shouting about!
