All Aboard the Nutmobile!

The residents of Fairhaven Community Maryborough and Petrie Gardens enjoyed a great day at Macadamia House last week. 

The day dawned rainy and grey, but the weather dampened no spirits! We kicked things off with a factory tour; taking our guests behind the scenes and demonstrating how we sort and dry our nuts right here from the farm. 

After working up an appetite, we all enjoyed a fine morning tea. We would usually feast outside, alongside many a furry local, but the rain had its way and so we enjoyed our treats indoors. 

The true highlight for most was the Nutmobile! He has recently arrived in Bauple - fresh from the Big Pineapple. Not yet up and running, the attraction still proved most entertaining on the day. Our guests had a memorable photograph on the Aussie icon and appeared as keen as we are to get him on the move once again. 

All in all, it was great day here at the house and a fun start to the busy harvest season.
